Fluidra’s looking for a Mechanical Drafter to join our team at our S.R. Smith facility in Canby, OR.

 

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

The Mechanical Drafter supports the engineering team by detailing designs of components and/or assemblies. Develops and maintains product instructions and other Engineering Department documentation. Additionally, you will: 

  • Under minimal supervision, creates moderately complex 3D models and related 2D CAD drawings for engineering and manufacturing.
  • Works closely with purchasing and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy of drawings and specifications.
  • Completes first article and incoming quality inspections.
  • Reviews, writes, and edits engineering documentation, including product user’s manuals, product work, instructions, test reports, etc.
  • Assists engineers with product testing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Up to 20% travel.

 

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Must have strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills
  • Other Software: ERP, MS Office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
     

EDUCATION

Associate degree in engineering technology, or similar technical degree
