Right now, we’re looking for a People Operations Manager to join our People team.
Reporting into the Director of People & Culture, you’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function, with a focus on creating a seamless, end to end employee & worker life cycle. You will work closely with People Managers and other cross-functional teams to ensure our people operations are effective, compliant, and aligned with our company values. Supporting both our salaried employees and remote worker team, this is a hands-on position that requires a blend of operational expertise and people-centered thinking. What you’ll do
- Employee life cycle management
- Co-ordinate the selection and recruitment of top talent for salaried and variable roles, managing the end to end candidate journey and holding interviews
- Develop strong relationships with hiring managers to fully understand resourcing needs and collaborate with them on the hiring process
- Deliver a smooth and engaging onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported
- Manage offboarding and exit processes, conducting exit interviews and ensuring a positive transition for departing employees.
- People Operations Strategy & Process Optimisation:
- Drive continuous improvement of people operations processes, policies, and systems to ensure efficiency and scalability
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legal compliance and best practices
- Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Partner with line managers to provide guidance on basic UK ER issues (eg performance management, absence), flagging and escalating issues where necessary
- Work with the People team to identify trends in employee engagement and performance, and develop actionable insights to drive employee satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with Line Managers to deliver an engaging and impactful L&D program to maximise engagement and performance
- Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:
- Analyze and improve the approach to people metrics to inform decisions and strategies
- Own and optimise the people budget for the remote worker team, tracking and maximising productivity and output
What we need from you
- 3+ years of experience in HR/People Operations
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, UK employment law and people management tools
- Experience using and leveraging an HRIS
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of performance management, compensation planning, and benefits administration is a plus
