The Opportunity

PRIME Education, a property of Everyday Health Group, is loooking for a Product Owner to join our Product & Engineering team. This role will report to the Director of Product Management and will work closely with front-end developers, backend engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives.
 
The Product Owner will play a critical role in accelerating the modernization of PRIME’s digital platforms, including our homegrown CMS, public website (primeinc.org), registration pages, resource centers, and microsites, while also supporting the launch of AI-enabled user experiences and marketing automation integrations.
 
This is a remote position open to US-based candidates. Work is primarily conducted Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility needed to align with project deadlines. Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned initiatives, ensuring stories are prioritized and ready one sprint ahead.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager on roadmap priorities and sprint readiness.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinements, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure backlog hygiene and reduce rework through clear documentation and alignment.
  • Partner with QA and engineers to coordinate smooth releases and readiness documentation.
  • Track and report on metrics (burndown, velocity, throughput) to provide visibility into progress.
  • Champion accessibility (WCAG AA) and compliance requirements in product delivery.
  • Create wireframes and collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver intuitive, user-friendly UIs aligned with project requirements.

Job Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
  • Proven ability to write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong facilitation skills for leading Agile ceremonies and coordinating across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineers, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG AA) and compliance-driven requirements.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with front-end–heavy projects (Vue, Nuxt, React, or similar frameworks preferred).
  • Background in healthcare, education, or compliance-driven industries is a plus.

Note: The salary compensation for this role is $90,000 to $100,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
