The Opportunity
This role has the dual opportunity to lead agile technology projects and drive critical business initiatives that involve multiple teams/departments. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the development process across BabyCenter and What to Expect platforms and properties. This individual will be responsible for coordinating development resources, prioritizing and scheduling feature implementation and working with stakeholders across the organization. This individual must possess the ability to effectively manage each piece of the software development life cycle for multiple applications across multiple platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor project risks, scope, and dependencies, and help remove identified roadblocks Understand and implement agile methodologies including SCRUM and Kanban
- Work with team members to continually improve velocity and quality
- Liaise with external and internal groups including design/UX, engineering, sales/marketing and media/advertising partners
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of project management experience; background in the digital media industry is desirable
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, and familiarity interfacing with sales, marketing, design, and other non-technical stakeholders
- Independent, Decision maker, Self-motivated, creative, confident, and energetic personality
- Excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Leadership, team management, relationship building, organization, planning and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Agile Development techniques preferred (XP, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience using modern project management and agile tools: JIRA, Google Meet, Docs, Sheets and Slides, Smartsheets, Confluence
- BS degree is preferred
- Prior experience working with remotely distributed teams across multiple time zones and navigating the associated challenges is desirable
- Certified Scrum Master a plus

Note: The salary compensation for this role is $85,000 to $105,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance. This full-time role is remote with travel required on occasion. Candidate needs to work east coast hours.
