Junior Accountant, Gaming




Ziff Davis, LLC, is seeking a Junior Accountant within its Gaming industry vertical, which includes both IGN Entertainment and Humble Bundle. This position will serve Humble Bundle with a focus on general accounting and vendor management, and IGN with a focus on collections. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with an Accounting background to positively impact Humble Bundle and IGN’s operational efficiency while working in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

        Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts (including cash transactions and bank reconciliations).

        Manage the processing and recording for accounts payable transactions (including Invoices and expense reports).

        Be the owner of the IGN collections process.

        Establish strong relationships across the business unit’s departments and assist in managing the vendor creation processes, tax setup, and KYC.

        Be the face of the business for our vendor population; Develop an understanding of the vendors used by the business, related agreements and payment terms. 

        Assist in the month-end close process and other assigned department related tasks, as necessary, including balance sheet reconciliations.






        Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Sciences.

        1-3 years of experience in Accounting; CPA or interest in pursuing one.

        Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling a plus.

        Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.

        Proficiency with SAP Concur, Nexonia and NetSuite or similar experience with the vendors and payments modules of large complex enterprise wide ERP systems.

        Fastidious attention to detail is critical.

        Strong presentation skills as the candidate will be required to communicate complex information in a simplified manner

        Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
