What kind of business problems will you be working on? Disqus enables comment communities and fosters dynamic discussion about pretty much everything. You’ll be working with the product, design, and engineering teams, using your technical skills to create an intuitive, beautiful commenting experience.

Up for the challenge? This is a highly technical role that will be a key position in helping to deliver our content to hundreds of millions of people on the web.


  • Design and implement features used by millions of people
  • Maintain existing features
  • Participate in all phases of the software development cycle
  • Contribute to the Engineering team’s culture
  • Strengthen or improve development and release processes within the team.
  • Help lead or direct back-end development and server side engineering.


  • S. Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years software engineering experience
  • Know Python & Django well
  • Great understanding of software design principles
  • Experience developing and consuming REST based APIs
  • Strong skills in object oriented programming and architectural design patterns
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas in to easily understood items
  • SF or Remote
