Workplace Operations Manager, APAC

Zendesk is looking for someone who can be Accountable for supporting service delivery for corporate offices within the APAC region, working under direction of the home officae in San Francisco, CA, and in partnership with their local & regional teammates, the Regional Real Estate & Facilities Manager fosters a collaborative and supportive team environment with internal customers, partners, and vendors to drive optimal team performance while managing costs effectively. The Regional Real Estate & Facilities Manager takes the lead in setting expectations/priorities, process, governance routines and risk management to drive delivery of maintenance services, real estate planning/forecasting, capital and expense project delivery, internal customer satisfaction, disaster response and recovery.



  • Proactive facilities management service delivery 

  • Internal customer management and satisfaction 

  • Vendor management, selection, governance & review 

  • Building, managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of office support staff 

  • Proactive identification of facility opportunities, issues and risks 

  • Support internal customer engagement, providing relevant and timely information to regional business leaders 

  • Assist in the development and management of the regional operating expense budget 

  • Coordinate with home office on all other Facilities-related items, in support of global program development 

  • Manage all sites within the limits and requirements set out in negotiated leases 

  • Assist in the negotiation of leases 

  • Support FM activity alignment with network strategy and construction project efforts 

  • Actively engage and assist in regional real estate portfolio pipeline management reviews to ensure decisions are made in advance of critical events 

  • Help identify and define regional real estate opportunities and develop appropriate solutions to optimize the portfolio 

  • Maintain region-specific market intelligence in order to capitalize on opportunities, as well as to react to time sensitive projects and initiatives in advance 

  • Ensure that the department’s real estate & facilities policies and procedures are complied with across the regional portfolio



  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work experience or military experience 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a corporate real estate environment 

  • At least 1 year of project management experience in commercial tenant improvement projects across the APAC region 

  • At least 1 year experience with capital and expense budgeting for the real estate & facilities function 

  • Experience negotiating long-term leases of at least 50k square feet 

  • Presentation (Keynote) and Microsoft Excel proficiency 

  • Ability to grow and lead a team 

  • Ability to converse with internal and external team members with a high degree of confidence and assertiveness 

  • Ability to laugh and have fun while doing a million things at once 

  • Ability to manage stress, competing priorities, and solve problems 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ProLease or similar product 

  • Knowledge of construction terminology and ability to read plan documents Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, or Japanese
