Envestnet Wealth is seeking a talented and passionate Business Development Associate to join the Sales team.

 The Business Development Associate will work in close collaboration with the Sales Director to identify, source, qualify and develop new sales opportunities within a specified region. This includes supporting outbound sales and marketing campaigns through warm-and cold-calling prospects and driving qualified leads. The Business Development Associate will also help to cross-sell additional products and services to existing advisor clients. This role assists with growing sales through building relationships across the book of business and with prospects during the sale process.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead response, outbound cold/warm calls and emails.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to support sales campaigns and generate qualified leads.
  • Send weekly reports on new sales opportunities by marketing campaigns.
  • Qualify/disqualify prospects based on information obtained during phone calls and/or email.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate lead records in the CRM system.
  • Assist with the implementation and use of lead generation tools such as SalesLoft
  • Maintain and expand CRM data with up-to-date information.
  • Work closely with Sales Team to route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative.
  • Engage in market research to identify prospective firms, key individuals and generate interest in our products.
  • Assist with sales trip planning including identifying target prospects and securing meetings.
  • Cross-sell broader Envestnet products to existing advisor clients
  • Support the sales team with sales proposals and contract requests forms.
  • Provide territory analysis to sales reps to identify target prospects, suggest potential drip-campaigns, and territory trends.
  • Monitor lead trends/results and proactively identify opportunities to increase lead flow.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or technology
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience either in the financial services or technology fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong phone presence/presentation
  • Team player who enjoys the challenge of obtaining new leads.
  • Multi-tasking, managing time effectively and prioritization skills.
  • Highly motivated, driven and results-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM systems
  • Strong work ethic.
