Job Summary:

The Manager, Portfolio Accounting Operations is responsible for the supervision and management of the Tamarac Operations team, including hiring, day-to-day monitoring of employees, training, resource allocation, performance management, and salary reviews.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Portfolio Accounting Operations team, including recruiting, coaching, training, and performance management: 
    • Conduct regular performance conversations with team members 
    • Prepare and conduct formal performance reviews 
    • Provide training opportunities to increase product knowledge and customer service; help advance career growth and communicate opportunities
    • Build a career path progression within the team for future expansion/growth
  • Sets policies and procedures for the Tamarac Operations team.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives that are designed to improve the overall support experience and improve team productivity and quality.
  • Resolves highly complex or non-routine Operational issues or inquiries from senior-level or key individuals at clients, as needed, including processing of escalations or urgent requests.
  • Provides strategic guidance on internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the overall client experience.
  • Determines needed improvements through review and analysis of problems reported.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Responsible for the achievement of multiple team goals and objectives.
  • Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and seeks opportunities to implement them as appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains strong and cooperative relationships with client service teams to foster a cooperative environment for the resolution of problems and/or errors.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in the financial services or related industry with a client service background.
  • Must have solid working knowledge of the securities industry, of various types of investment vehicles including insurance, and trading methods.
  • Must have a precise understanding of Operations within the Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong understanding of the terminology and processing requirements within the Investment and Financial Services Industry.
  • Decisive and proven track record of driving results.
  • Ability to critically analyze information and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to create and manage change across business functions.
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to improve business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading/managing a service-oriented team preferred.
  • Experience leading/coaching teams preferred.
