Job Summary:

The mission for the Head of Experiences Engineering is to deliver operationally and high-quality technology platforms to achieve a seamless and consistent customer experience across all interface types.  The Experiences team is responsible for executing on the Product vision for all D&A platform initiatives, including building, deploying and supporting user interface components and API services for those applications. This role requires a highly influential and collaborative leader who has a strong track record in building and propelling teams.  The group is expected to deliver innovative and resilient UI platforms that conform to Envestnet’s UX standards. This role reports to the Group Head of D&A Technology and with indirect responsibilities to the Group Head of User Interfaces and Integration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategic vision for Experiences to ensure business relevance and a future-proofed direction.
  • Own a practical roadmap and execution plan to realize the vision, manage a team to execute and deliver to plan.
  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining common components and partnering with application development teams to ensure consistent, nimble high-quality user experience.
  • Understand the business and business priorities to drive delivery of aligned solutions.
  • Work with a broad range of teams within the D&A space, as well as across Envestnet to deliver relevant, practical, and usable frameworks, components and services.
  • Be a thought-leader who can work with various constituents to test thinking and direction.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing highly skilled developers and architects to achieve business goals. Ability to structure and build high-performing teams.
  • Deep focus on operational excellence and quality.
  • Strategic thinker who can develop a framework and a corresponding technology roadmap for delivery of both short and longer-term priorities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with an ability to work across various teams to strategically align overall vision and implementation plans.
  • Program management experience.
  • Experience managing engineers in the conception, design and development of common components and widgets and support API like authentication and encryption, UI frameworks, and UX guidelines.
  • High level of financial acumen and ability to articulate business value.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in technology, consulting, or a related field.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $340,000.
