Job Summary:

The Manager Support Specialist focuses on providing comprehensive training, support, and communication related to the Envestnet platform used by asset managers. Key responsibilities include delivering demonstrations, clarifying process flows, and responding to inquiries to ensure user understanding and operational efficiency. The position involves fostering strong relationships with asset managers, participating in problem-solving initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to address client concerns. The role also includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the platform, assisting with trading issues, and contributing to special projects and documentation efforts. Overall, the job aims to enhance the user experience and streamline processes for asset managers utilizing Envestnet.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, demonstrations, and support related to the Envestnet platform utilized by asset managers for Service Requests, Model updates, trading and other functions
  • Explain process flows, best practices and responsibilities to both new asset managers as well as those that have been on the Envestnet platform for some time
  • Respond to all types of inquiries from asset managers and their vendors related to Envestnet and its platform via email and telephone based upon service levels of the department and with the thoroughness required to ensure understanding and avoid errors
  • Establish and maintain strong and supportive relationships to foster a cooperative environment in which to build and maintain strategic partnerships with our asset managers
  • Participate in root cause analysis to correct and/or prevent deviations in processes and workflows.
  • Proactively communicate to asset managers regarding topics such as model validation delays and other operational concerns
  • Participate in projects when asset manager communication is required (e.g., communication of changing account numbers)
  • Work directly with internal departments to resolve client firm issues/questions related to investment strategies according to departmental service levels
  • Provide insight and training related to asset managers and strategies to new internal department personnel
  • Interact with the Trading department when warranted to assist in solving complex trading issues
  • Submit for processing and support until successful conclusion Trade Errors created by asset managers or the platform
  • Perform daily duties, including problem resolution using standard procedures and precedents
  • Assist with solving issues that are without procedures or precedents and escalate to department manager when warranted
  • Continually self-educate about the Envestnet platform to ensure a full understanding of the entire ecosystem
  • Draft language and exhibits/screenshots (for department manager review) for inclusion in Guides, asset manager newsletters or other communications
  • Participate in special projects/other duties as assigned by Manager or other senior management personnel
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required
  • Must have working knowledge of the securities industry, various types of investment vehicles, and trading methods
  • Demonstrate skills to critically analyze information and make recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in the financial services or related industry
  • Client service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools; Excel proficiency
