Job Summary:

Reconciliation Support Team is part of Envestnet Operations Team, they are the subject matter expert for both internal Envestnet client service teams and external clients for all questions/issues related to data reconciliation, data quality and performance/reporting process. Each team member understands the downstream effect on the Portfolio Accounting System. The primary function of the Recon Support team is to manage the Reconciliation related support to Envestnet and external client, including, but not limited to: research on cost basis, transactions, positions and security level queries, snapping, publishing, performance and reporting, troubleshooting data issues using custodian data, collaboration/coordinating on conversion projects, and overall support to all Client service teams, trading, billing and performance teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for independent reconciliation, validation and analysis of data issues with various types of portfolio accounts maintained in ENV platforms
  • Establishes and maintains strong and cooperative relationships with both internal client service teams and external clients to foster a cooperative environment for the resolution of problems and/or errors
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with all operation and technology teams to ensure a productive environment exists for problem resolution
  • Collaboratively works with clients and Envestnet service teams to solve operational issues related to data, reconciliation, and delivery questions.
  • Works to address root cause of issue trends and propose short-, medium- and long-term solutions
  • Facilitate best practice process management with various operational and administrative areas of the organization, including making suggestions for improved client service, quality control, and risk management procedures
  • Daily monitoring of requests received to the team via Zendesk tickets, email, and Service tasks/requests
  • Ensures all client-based service level agreements are met
  • Serves as escalation point to more junior team members
  • Assumes responsibility for more complex data issues
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or business management concentration preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a background in client service/support
  • Strong understanding of the investment/Portfolio accounting process
  • Background in data reconciliation in a portfolio accounting system
  • Must have working knowledge of capital market industry and various types of investment vehicles
  • Must be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to critically analyze information and make sound recommendations.
  • Work as a member of a team with collaborative decision making
  • Strong information-gathering and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate with others in a concise, productive, and professional manner – both verbally and in writing
  • Must have strong math and Analytical skills
