Business and Financial Analyst

Ygrene is seeking a Business and Financial Analyst to join our corporate team. This individual will be responsible for improving Ygrene’s business and financial intelligence, including pricing, revenue and cost analytics.  In addition, this position will support capital markets and securitization data analysis.

Business and Financial Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

Pricing Analysis and Support: 70%

  • Maintain official pricing grids, and ensure IT team and Ops team is utilizing current pricing information in our systems.
  • Develop and maintain various analytical models to support pricing analysis and decisions, including pricing discipline models to verify adherence to pricing policies.
  • Identify product-level improvements in terms of features, structure and terms that relate to improving the company’s revenue and gross profit margins.
  • Create and maintain R-PACE and C-PACE transaction pricing model that demonstrates sensitivity to multiple variables.
  • Monitor competitor pricing trends and related information.
  • Develop and maintain commercial PACE pricing grids and analytical models. Identify opportunities to adjust pricing elements to maximize revenue.
  • Analyze hedging strategies and recommend/execute hedging approaches. Create and maintain hedge cost analysis.
  • Oversee cost of capital calculations across all facets of our capitalization, including costs of various warehouse facilities and secondary market costs and profit.
  • Analyze master transaction records (blotter and asset management system) to assess variability and inconsistent data relative to pricing and customer segmentation data.
  • Reconcile blotter data to official pricing and revenue grid, including rate buy-down numbers.

Analysis & Reports: 20%

  • Maintain interest rate and related databases for reporting purposes.
  • Create management and board reports related to revenue and cost analytics.
  • Host and run the bi-weekly pricing meeting.
  • Assist with compilation of data required for monthly and semi-annual payment dates.
  • Track and log prepayment activity, and work with appropriate parties to resolve associated issues.
  • Assist with ad hoc monthly analysis and reporting as required. 

Other Duties as Assigned: 10%

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Business and Financial Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in finance or related field; and 4 years of experience in financial analysis or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-income finance and all facets of bond analytics.
  • Renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or PACE financing knowledge.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills modeling in Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapid growth environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleague’s and across departments to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
  • Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Occasional travel is expected for this position.
