Treasury Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:

Treasury and Loan Accounting: 55%

  • Perform day-to-day treasury and loan accounting functions, maintain PACE assets to general ledger reconciliations, PACE asset reporting and monthly/semi-monthly securitization waterfalls, month-end close activities related to PACE assets, treasury cash reconciliations, and assist in annual audit.
  • Perform day‐to-day transactional loan accounting activities including daily funding, and account reconciliations.
  • Communicate with Cortland (outside service provider) on any daily funding anomalies and elevate and resolve issues with relevant parties.
  • Manage accounting, validation, and reconciliation of PACE prepayment activities, including updating the prepayment database.
  • Prepare and process accounting entries, asset transfers, and reconciliations related to monthly and semi-annual securitization waterfall transactions and related debt balances.
  • Manage accounting, and reconciliation of Internal Advance activities.
  • Prepare, process, and communicate prepayment directives to Zions Bank for execution.
  • Assist in securitization process related to asset transfers, and collection activity reconciliation.

Closing and Reporting: 30%

  • Prepare monthly journal entries for deferred capitalized interest on PACE Assets.
  • Prepare and record monthly interest income accruals on PACE assets.
  • Maintain and update PACE Asset roll forward schedules by asset owner and reconciliation to balance sheet.
  • Reconcile and record cash activity in restricted cash accounts related to PACE securitizations.
  • Reconcile and record cash activity in restricted cash accounts and debt balances related to syndicated warehouse facility.
  • Reconcile contractor advances and related asset balances.

Audit Tasks: 5%

  • Prepare lead audit schedules and work with auditors for the timely delivery of audit reports.

Other Duties as Assigned: 10%

  • Perform special projects and research as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Treasury Accountant Skills and Experience:

  • This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; and 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of finance, fixed-income and associated calculations.
  • Knowledge of multi-entity accounting systems, Net Suite preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapid growth environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
  • Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but open to flexible hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • No travel is expected for this position.
