Description

The Product Development Project Manager will provide product development leadership to develop business ideas into formal processes and/or product designs and manage the implementation project through launch.

Product Development Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Work closely with all Ygrene functional areas, including the Executive Team, Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technology and Operations, to develop business requirements that meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders and produce the highest quality, lowest cost result
  • Create detailed requirement documents, PowerPoint presentations, workflows, and wireframes to provide all stakeholders visibility and build understanding of the new features
  • Conduct cross functional engagements with stakeholders to present proposed solutions, achieve consensus, and obtain approval
  • Collaborate with the VP of New Products and communicate project status, identifying roadblocks and solutions

Project Management

  • Utilizing the Product Development Process, manage projects to take product ideas from concept to execution
  • Continuously improve the product development process to execute quickly, flawlessly, and with the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop and manage a project plan with deliverables and dependencies for implementation
  • Interface with all Ygrene functional areas, as identified in the business requirements, to ensure project execution is conducted according to design parameters and schedule
  • Effectively communicate project status and issues
  • Perform special projects and research as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Product Development Project Manager Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in demonstrated project management or product/business process development position
  • Successful management of projects involving three or more teams, at least one of which develops software
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred
  • Possess a deep understanding of our business workflow and identify and drive continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of project management best practices and processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with proven skills utilizing MS Project and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in databases and analytics
  • Strong proficiency writing SQL queries, preferred
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, production systems, and front/back end applications
  • Ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization to understand business needs, negotiate outcomes, and manage and meet deliverables
  • Ability to evaluate technology solutions to design concepts and solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence others and collaborate to reach consensus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Decisive with strong decision-making skills
  • Experience in financial services and/or PACE industries
  • Experience in the mortgage industry a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
  • Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
