Senior Business and Financial Analyst is responsible for improving Ygrene’s business and financial intelligence, including pricing, revenue and cost analytics.  In addition, this position will support capital markets and securitization data analysis.

Senior Business and Financial Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

Pricing Analysis, Policy and Administration (20%)

  • Maintain official pricing grids for residential and commercial PACE assets across all jurisdictions.
  • Document and maintain official pricing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with IT team and Ops team to ensure pricing is properly reflected in our pricing engine.
  • Host and run the bi-weekly pricing meeting. Create standard reports for distribution to the committee prior to the meeting to facilitate a better outcome.

Business, Revenue and Cost Analysis (50%)

  • Create and maintain complex R-PACE and C-PACE transaction pricing models that demonstrate sensitivity of pricing and cost variables to revenue and profit.
  • Identify product-level improvements in terms of features, structure and terms that relate to all matters of financial factors, such as cost of funds, multiple capital markets structures and other complex variables that drive the company’s revenue and gross profit margins.
  • Analyze product-level adjustments proposed by the capital markets, sales, marketing and/or operations team by developing and maintaining rigorous models that report historical and forward-looking perspectives on breakeven origination volumes, marginal and fully-burdened profit drivers.
  • Create and maintain direct, variable and fixed product cost data to support analytical models.
  • Create and maintain competitor pricing and other product data in an Excel model.
  • Analyze master transaction records (blotter and asset management system) to assess variability and inconsistent data relative to pricing and customer segmentation data.
  • Reconcile blotter data to official pricing and revenue grid, including rate buy-down numbers.

Capital Markets and Fixed-Income Analytics (20%)

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to analyze various drivers to asset-backed-security performance, including CPR and delinquency analysis and reporting. As part of a dynamic team, recommend and implement solutions to improve capital markets metrics.
  • Analyze hedging strategies and recommend/execute hedging approaches. Create and maintain hedge cost analysis.
  • Oversee cost of capital calculations across all facets of our capitalization, including costs of various warehouse facilities and secondary market costs and profit.
  • Analyze prepayment rates and delinquencies to provide recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Maintain U.S. Treasury and Swap interest rate database for reporting and analysis purposes.

Other Analysis & Reporting: 10%

  • Create management and board reports related to revenue and cost analytics.
  • Assist with ad hoc monthly analysis and reporting as required. 

Senior Business and Financial Analyst Skills and Experience:

  • This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in finance or related field; and 5 years of experience in financial modeling or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, fixed-income finance and all facets of bond analytics, including strong grasp of common fixed income variables such as duration, present value, breakeven IRR, and waterfall forecasting.
  • Strong financial math skills.
  • Experience or relevant knowledge in creating forecast models that project income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel. High proficiency in all other Microsoft Office products.
  • Project finance, renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or PACE financing knowledge.
  • Curiosity and a sense of ownership in proactively finding financial solutions to make the company and its stakeholders more successful.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
  • Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Occasional travel is expected for this position.
