Position Summary
The Software Consultant Internship will begin the week of March 23, 2026, and end approximately July 31, 2026. This will be an in-office internship role, while working approximately 40 hours per week in the Saginaw office, for its Business Applications Group. The intern will work on projects that center on solving business challenges through application software or custom software development. Responsibilities for this position may include software programming, researching new technologies and trends, collaboration on team projects, documentation of projects and source code, custom application testing and rollout.
Key Objectives
- Learn new software programs very quickly
- Design creative and innovative solutions to solve business challenges
- Listen and speak with clients about their business needs
- Work on multiple projects completing them on time and within scope
- Participate in cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Document work performed for tracking and billing purposes
Qualifications
- Freshman or above at a college/university
- Experience writing software programs that solve a particular challenge
- Commitment to quality source code development and documentation
- Software development that adheres to an established development standard
- Provide high level of customer service and professionalism
- Have reliable transportation for occasional onsite work when required
- General understanding of computer technology
- Ability to take direction and work individually and as part of a team
Preferred Abilities
- Working towards a college degree that includes software development coursework
Leadership
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own initiatives
- Learn how the position is critical to the success of the organization
- Willingness to accept new responsibility and be accountable for own actions
Technology
- Knowledge to operate most office equipment
- Experience in working with computers and related technologies
