The Role: The successful candidate must have extensive experience supporting the global corporate business continuity and security function within a complex multi-site manufacturing or industrial organization. 

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Business Continuity

  • Assess needs and provide appropriate support for business continuity coordinators
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to a diverse audience
  • Ability to review work, provide constructive feedbacks, and coach internal stakeholders to develop their business continuity capabilities
  • Support business units to develop business continuity program elements (risk assessments, business impact analysis, business continuity plans, incident response plans) utilizing a governance framework in an annual cycle
  • Align IT disaster recovery strategies to operational requirements (including RTOs and RPOs) to document appropriate mitigation strategies to avoid operational disruption
  • Ability to develop and facilitate tabletop and full-scale exercises including the development of After Action Reports


  • Assess, define, and project manage physical security systems implementation at assets including; access control, intrusion, and video surveillance requirements
  • Development of security standards for a complex multi-site organization
  • Liaise with Xylem site persons responsible for security responsibilities and real estate representatives to identify fit for purpose physical security systems
  • Comprehend technical language and read and interpret blue prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify best in class physical security systems
  • The ability to investigate incidents
  • Provide guidance on travel security requirements
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Education – Requires a Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience developing business continuity plans, incident response, and corporate security functions within a manufacturing environment
  • Understand industry best practices and international standards. Including (ISO 22301, ISO 27001, BCI Good practice guides -DRII and BCI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holding positions greater than 5 years’ experience within business continuity and corporate security in a complex cross-functional global company
  • Knowledge to identify applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • ABCP, CFCP, or CBCP certification
  • PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), and/or APP (Associate Protection Professional) certifications 
  • Project management best practices and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in a fast paced complex global manufacturing environment company
  • Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team player.
  • Highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Work independently and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to develop and train others
  • Operating a computer and various software packages
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, training and reporting.
  • Critical thinking and good problem solving skills

  • Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements.
  • Standard weekly job hours: The job required Monday through Friday dayshift.  There may be situation that require weekend, or evening coverage. 
  • Travel requirementUp to 30%, potential international travel

Further, if the Company determines this role may be performed in or from Colorado, the salary range is $111,000 - $135,000 plus bonus. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law. We offer a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
