Brief Description/Job Summary (this section is to be used for postings on social media outlets – examples below):


Mechanical Design Engineer, position is based at India Technology Center-Vadodara and critical deliverables are focused to work with Engineers/Managers globally on product development, Legacy conversion and Design Benchmarking projects. Execute Part or Component design for the Global Engineering center that may include analytical calculations, concept development, and production Creo models and drawings. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work from India technology Centre and has to coordinate with other Engineers & leaders to ensure timely completion of the projects given by the Xylem global engineering centers.


Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and correctly apply engineering concepts to suit Mechanical design requirements with minimal assistance / guidance.
  • Lead and deliver the small to big scale Projects with Cross functional teams.
  • Support global Project managers for schedule development and breaking down the activities.
  • Complete project assignments per established schedules.
  • Appropriately and correctly apply design tools. ( Pro-E/Creo)


Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:


1)       4-Year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

2)       5-8 years’ experience in Mechanical design development, (Tools - Creo, Creo Simulate)


1)       4-Year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

2)       2-Year Master Degree in Mechanical engineering

3)       5-8 years’ experience in Mechanical design development, (Tools - Creo, Creo Simulate)


  • Experience from Packaging industry/System Design is Preferred.
  • Strong Technical fundamentals in Machine Design and Fluid Hydraulics.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication in English is must.
  • Knowledge in basic concepts of foundry, machining and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of international & industry standards for Rotating Equipment design.
  • Knowledge and Ability to apply engineering concepts.
  • Knows & uses the fundamental concepts, practices & procedures of particular field of specification.
  • Exhibits thorough knowledge of dependencies & deploying successful mitigation strategies.
  • Identifies and deconstructs system problems down to discrete elements.
  • Project management skills to manage the milestone & activities.

  •        Knowledge & experience in Pro-E/Creo is appreciated.
