XYLEM is looking for a new colleague for the following position:


                                                 Project Engineer M&C (Electrical Engineering)


As an electrical project manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation and supply of electrical control systems regarding pump control. Drawing up day-to-day schedules, allocate time, resource and budget and ensure work is completed on time, to a high standard. In addition, this role proactively manages first line support for commissioning and project handover for customers. You are an ‘expert’ in the area of monitoring & control, automation and work with small team, who are responsible for providing technical support for contractors.





  • Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve
  • Creating budget calculations for new projects including electrical cabinets and installations.
  • Defining the technical requirements and feasibility of a project
  • Outlining timescales, costs and resources needed to design and deliver an electrical operations project
  • Making sure the work follows strict health and safety guidelines
  • Developing step-by-step project plans
  • Negotiating with designers, engineers, contractors and suppliers
  • Classifying and qualifying suppliers
  • Liaising with staff at every level
  • Overseeing several aspects of a project at the same time
  • Ensuring each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard
  • Sharing regular progress reports with the client and stakeholders
  • Resolving any issues or delays
  • Working in an office or on site




  • A minimum of 5-year-experience in the industrial automation as project manager, preferably with water and wastewater industry experience.
  • Held roles in project (with budget and margin targets) and a sound knowledge of pumps and pumping systems are highly desirable. 
  • Technical Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Instrumentation /Electronics with strong technical and communication skills.
