 Role Summary: 
The Managing Director for the sub-region of Eastern Europe North (EEN - Poland, Ukraine and Baltics) will be responsible for leading and driving profitable and sustainable growth of the Xylem business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities, develop customer and partner relationships, and foster a culture of growth and continuous improvement. As the Managing Director, you will also play a critical role in developing people and talent across the organization.    
 
Responsibilities:   
  • Design and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the EEN subregion, aligned with the company's overall objectives and goals.
  • Deliver breakthrough levels of profitable business growth and strengthening of our market share in the region with profit and loss responsibility for the business in EEN.
  • Lead, direct, and control the activities of the sub region in order to achieve the short and long-term financial and operating objectives of the organization.
  • Direct and oversee projects and Life Cycle services, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Constantly seeking customer feedback and develop comprehensive understanding of market and competitive landscape.
  • Identify and increase new business and growth opportunities. 
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and distribution/channel network.
  • Drive Xylem values including safety, DEI and sustainability ensuring the highest ethical standards are maintained in business dealings.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices and standardization initiatives to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation and ensuring a strong health and safety culture. 
  • Overseeing, analyzing, and monitoring sales and operation’s performance (ex: dashboard, KPIs, monthly sales targets…).
  • Lead and manage teams, providing mentorship, guidance, and support. 
  • Lead by example, using internal People and Travel applications in self-service (Workday, local time and attendance & payroll system, AmEX Global Business Travel, Concur).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee engagement, providing training opportunities, and recognizing and rewarding achievements. 
  • Establish a positive & collaborative atmosphere, empowering people and creating an inclusive environment where people can show up to work as their authentic selves.
  • Serve on the Eastern Europe regional leadership team.  
  • Proactively ensure compliance to applicable regulations and laws as well as Xylem Business Code of Conduct, Ethics, HR & Legal internal policies.
  • Set prices and other commercial conditions to achieve Sales and Growth Budgets with a controlled SG&A spending.
  • Direct the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditures and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources; analyze and approve operational investments that best meet the organization’s business needs.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:   
  • 10 years of experience in a B2B environment as managing Director or Senior Sales Director in global/international company
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in functional area of expertise, MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with people leadership, including large teams.
  • Proven experience of the business in the sub region
  • Track record in leading of project, services and distribution sales internationally.
  • Demonstrated success in leading sales and growth strategies.
  • Proven financial skills (sales plans, budgets, forecasting, cash flow management, understanding of financial statements, management of business metrics)
  • Experience of leading multiple, large size projects
  • Proficiency in coaching, people development, change management. 
  • Ability to travel. 
  • Language:  English, Polish, additional is a plus
