Global Product Sustainability Manager

We are Hiring for a Global Product Sustainability Manager!
Xylem is the leading global provider of technologies and solutions that address the world’s water challenges. The Global Product Sustainability (GPS) team’s mission is to enable our entire enterprise of employees, customers and shareholders to understand the environmental impacts of Xylem’s products.
The GPS Manager will join our team of life cycle analysts and engineers who report to the Director of Global Product Sustainability. The GPS Manager will foster relationships with global product managers and subject matter experts, and act as a liaison to Xylem’s corporate Sustainability and Social Impact (SSI) program.
A global citizen is preferred who works well across time zones, cultures, languages, and organizational lines.
Essential Duties
The GPS Manager will be responsible for measuring, monitoring, and identifying opportunities to decrease the footprint, and increase the handprint, of our portfolio.
- Support the GPS Director for the development of a 5-year roadmap and action plan to meet Net Zero and similar sustainability commitments, most of which are outlined in our Sustainability Report and Initiatives.
- Primary Manager of Xylem’s Product-based Sustainability KPIs.
- Work with product managers, LCA Analysts and engineers for KPI method development and execution on the monitoring and reporting of KPIs.
- Assure data quality and traceability.
- Demonstrate the commercial value of the KPIs for the organization.
- Manage our progress towards SBTi targets.
- Build and manage a communication plan for the GPS program
- Manage the Product Sustainability Hub in sharepoint.
- Deliver quarterly KPI reports for the SSI Program.
- Deliver training, webinars, blogs and other content about product sustainability at Xylem.
- Help product managers with value propositions and marketing content.
Qualifications
- Education in a technical field (Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree with relevant certifications, etc.) with some experience related to sustainability.
- Product management or product development experience.
- Familiarity with VWBA, GHG Protocols, SBTi and similar accounting practices.
- High aptitude with Microsoft platforms, and PowerBI is a plus.
Work Environment
- This is a full-time, salaried position located in either North America or Europe.
- Hybrid work is an option.
- Must have the flexibility to adjust schedule to global time zones as necessary.
