XYLEM Water Solutions Kft. is looking for a new colleugue for the following position:

 Area Sales Manager (BULGARIA and Beyond)



Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of sales within a specified geography, product line, or market segment to achieve established sales targets. The Area Sales Manager is in charge of maintaining and developing the sales of the company products portfolio in the defined geographical scope. The initial geographical scope shall be Bulgaria with development opportunities to expand beyond the Eastern Europe South region. The candidate will also seek to expand our share of digital solutions including Avensor, Optimyze, and Xylem Vue / Idrica solutions into the market. This position reports to the Sales Manager for the Adriatics, Serbia and Bulgaria.



  • Reach the targets and goals set for his / her scope
  • Maintain and increase sales of company products (all range of products including Xylem Vue)
  • Establish, maintain and develop the distribution network in line with the strategy of the region
  • Continuously assess distributor performances (yearly basis for formal assessment) on his market segment(s) of reference.
  • Increase business opportunities by looking at new business models opportunities (rental, recurring, “as-a-service” business model) and investigate new market segments in the allocated countries
  • Attend / conduct trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Provide product education and advice
  • Organize sales visits in coordination with Business Development Managers
  • Prepare tenders, proposals and quotations liaising with the Inside Sales Department
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions
  • Review discount and sales performance
  • Compile and analyze sales and forecast figures
  • Collect customer feedback and market research
  • Keep up to date with products and competitors
  • Collaborate with sales support and provide them with necessary market information
  • Actively support HR initiatives (PFP, mandatory trainings…)
  • Actively lead internal projects to develop the efficiency of the entire organization
  • Identify & propose some initiatives to develop the business and to improve the efficiency of internal processes
  • Proactively ensure that the company business is fully compliant



  • BA in Marketing, Sales, Business or Mechanical Engineer
  • 5 years minimum as Sales Engineer in a B&B environment
  • Fluent in English (other Slavic language beneficial but not required)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel 40%
  • MS Office user-level knowledge
  • Valid B driver’s license
