THE ROLE:  The Global Process Lead, Record to Report is accountable for developing deep subject matter expertise within the R2R Finance landscape, enabling the delivery of strategic, transformative change and standardization. Reporting into the Global Process Owner, R2R; the GPL will act as a functional lead for specific processes and / or tools; collaborate, communicate, and champion change; and take care to effectively evaluate all global business requirements to deliver well documented and controlled processes that meet the growing business needs of the Xylem organization. The GPL will play a key role as a trusted advisor and partner to the business, advocating for best practices, recommending global standardization, gaining stakeholder buy-in and implementing first-class solutions. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.    

  • Provide in-depth expertise across the global finance landscape, driving optimized process solutions, technology implementations, and other transformational efforts.
  • Act as the “go to” person for questions and problems within assigned area of expertise.
  • Build and deliver on-going communication to internal business partners and Xylem businesses; maintaining positive relationships and raising awareness and adoption of ongoing process changes.
  • Create well-constructed plans, clearly defined scope, and roadmaps for strategic change within area of assigned responsibility for R2R, ensuring full alignment with the overall GPO vision and strategy.
  • Advocate for designated R2R process needs as the functional lead within assigned cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Evaluate the end-to-end impact of process changes and build out proper change management plans.
  • Perform R2R process design; driving alignment, necessary approvals, and buy-in across regional, functional, and global leaders.
  • Execute deep dives and analysis of R2R processes and transactional activity in order to diagnose inefficiencies and recommend optimized solutions.
  • Test and provide feedback on process changes.
  • Develop and verify process documentation, test cases, training materials, policies, and standards.
  • Define procedures, process measures & KPIs.
  • Ensure alignment with recommendations from Audit and Compliance leadership. 

QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience working within a global, financial shared services organization; preferably within the Record to Report process domain
  • Previous experience working with multiple ERP systems and / or implementing ERP solutions
  • Experience with finance transformation, assessing the current state and building out future state roadmaps for R2R
  • Proven expertise leading / influencing without direct authority across functions
  • Skilled communicator – approachable, able to show others the “how” and “why”
  • Capable of independently leading with minimal guidance while operating as a team player, strong collaborator, and motivator for driving change

The estimated salary range at this professional level is $110,000 to $150,000 plus bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, Wellness programs, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
