THE ROLE: The Internal Controls Analyst will support the Americas Region and Shared Services in performing and maintaining a strong internal control environment to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and safeguarding of company assets.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Perform user access activities to ensure that appropriate Segregation of Duties are maintained.
- Organize and perform user access reviews (UARs) for the Americas and Shared Services systems and other systems as necessary.
- Executing Sarbanes Oxley internal controls as needed (i.e. Outside Service Provider assessments)
- Performing Sarbanes Oxley testing of key controls for the Americas and Shared Services
- Perform other audits as necessary (i.e. customer, banking, vendor special audits)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or CIA certification a plus.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Previous Auditing and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience
- Previous experience in documenting SOX controls (Control Matrix, Narratives & IPE)
- Must have strong knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Requires demonstrated skill in written and oral communications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized, articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Mix of public accounting and publicly traded company experience
- Prior user access and segregation of duties review experience
- Experience with Workiva and TeamGuru
