Job Description
Are you a Test Automation Engineer with a Consumer Electronic or Media background?
We need you to join our XPERI Consumer Electronics business to work on test automation of DTS Audio technologies and solutions in customer end-devices.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Taipei. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of automated test suites to test the quality and functionality of DTS audio technologies in customer end-devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, scripting, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to clearly and concisely document test cases for customers. You will work closely with developers, engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality test automation solutions.
What you will get to do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts that are scalable, reusable, and efficient using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Ensure developed test packages are robust, reliable, and cover all requirements.
- Create clear documentation, describing test modules and test cases.
- Ensure good software development processes followed.
- Work closely with the engineering teams to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for test automation.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation
- Proficient in one or more computer programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++)
- Familiarity with development and debugging within industry standard IDE’s
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) and test frameworks such as PyTest, Junit or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Expertise in building and maintaining test automation packages.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal essential).
- Ability to work well in a globally distributed work environment.
- Passion for developing great products and working with talented technical teams.
Nice to have:
- Certifications in software testing or test automation
- Consumer electronic product and audio test experience
- Experience with Audio Precision analysers or equivalent.
