We’re seeking a User Interface / UX Designer with a passion for creating user-centric designs and a love for various forms of digital media – movies, TV shows, sports, music, and more. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with other UX and Visual Designers to understand challenges and opportunities.
- Champion design projects, leveraging both UX and Visual design principles.
- Deliver concept decks, prototypes, feature-level study decks, pixel-perfect mockups, and final production assets.
- Develop visual designs and prototypes to communicate design concepts to stakeholders and for use in user research, market research, B2B partners, and marketing initiatives.
- Communicate and review UX and Visual designs with stakeholders from Engineering, Product, QA, and other departments.
- Define project-wide design patterns and visual language.
- Translate product requirements into user experiences that balance business goals, corporate strategy, and user needs.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working as an in-house UI / UX Designer at a consumer electronics, media, or entertainment company. Experience working with a global organization is a plus.
- Proven experience in UX and Visual design.
- Demonstrated portfolio experience in applying design standards, iconography, typography, colors, and production practices, preferably for smart TV, mobile, and web apps.
- Creative thinker with the ability to convey complex design concepts simply and effectively.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for communication and design. Ability to work independently, align priorities and unblock self.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining how something works to product management, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and network across departments.
- Consistently collaborates effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different geographies and time zones.
- Growth mindset and intrinsic desire to learn, accept new challenges, and develop new skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Leans into difficult conversations with curiosity, and has a desire to work better together. Always presumes positive intent.
- Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Demonstrated experience working with teams on front-end development.
- Must provide a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and your creative process.
- English proficiency minimum B2 level is required.
