Description

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

  •  Assist in the management of the project team BIM coordination process
  • Ability to support teams during pursuit process
    • Review available documentation and provide recommendations
    • Visualize project scope
    • Pursuit modeling development
    • Model-Based takeoffs and baseline quantity extraction for concrete, re-bar, and forms
    • Logistics review and transition of implications to models and take offs
  • Ability to convert 2D concrete drawings to 3D models
  • Ability to create detailed shop drawings from created concrete structural models
    • Lead shop drawing development with PM and Superintendent
    • Coordinate with formwork structural engineers when required
  • Ability to do quantity takeoffs from created concrete models
  • Ability to create 3D visualization for various field uses (such as logistics, safety, sequencing, etc.)
  • Participate in trade partner coordination efforts
  • Generate total station layout documentation
  • Import total station points for QA/QC of modeled elements
  • Working knowledge of rebar modeling
  • Ability to create and provide project teams with overlays from drone footage
  • Able to assist and/or assess the accuracy and completeness of Design Documents
    • Review and document relevant coordination issues
    • Assist in the facilitation of meetings between coordination team to address and resolve issues
    • Assist and/or benchmark and record agreed model content for use in the field
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing BIM Guidelines for project specific requirements as it related to concrete and associated work scopes (ITBs, Execution Plans, etc)
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing BIM schedules for each project
  • Promote the use and training of VDC tools, workflows, and best practices within project team
  • Coordinate exchange of data relevant to larger project team(s)
    • RFIs generated through BIM Coordination process
    • Document impact on submittals and approvals
  • Understand contractual and legal guidelines of construction management and processes
  • Able to work with and understand Point Clouds, either by creating model geometry from Point Clouds and/or verifying models derived from Point Clouds
  • Create and maintain library components (i.e. Families) for Revit (and related Autodesk Products) for concrete related items
  • Compile contract BIM required close out documentation
  • The ability to work on a variety of project types including commercial, educational, industrial and health care related projects
  • Mentor Bradley Teammates on modeling, layout, and coordination processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to pursue continued education on BIM and other CAD programs and skill sets

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • BS. degree in Construction Management / Technology or equivalent education and experience
  • Software proficiency demonstrated in:
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Autodesk AutoCAD
    • Autodesk Navisworks Manage
    • Microsoft Office Suite Products
    • Bluebeam
    • Procore
    • Autodesk Point Layout (APL)
    • Autodesk Recap
    • Trimble Realworks
    • Assemble
    • Synchro
    • Video Editing Software (such as Camtasia, Enscape, Adobe Premiere)
    • Autodesk BIM 360 Cloud Platform
    • Dynamo
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interaction and coordination with staff and clients in different geographic locations
  • Professional telephone and meeting manner
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Energy, reliability, dependability, and flexibility
  • Familiarity with jobsite protocol, safety, and logistics
