Business Systems Analyst — Junior

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Junior Business Systems Analyst supports requirements gathering, business process documentation, and system‑to‑system data exchange activities for DSSU IT initiatives. This role assists mid‑level analysts and government staff in preparing draft requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation to ensure accurate, secure, and compliant data transfer across systems. Operating within SAFe Agile workflows, the Junior BSA helps maintain alignment between business needs and technical implementation. Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements for system‑to‑system data exchanges.
  • Support drafting user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical specifications.
  • Help maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews).
  • Assist in identifying and documenting data mapping needs, integration issues, and corrective actions.
  • Support communication between business stakeholders and IT development teams.
  • Contribute to documentation of system processes, business rules, data flows, and operational procedures.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to mid‑level BSAs and government staff.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Minimum two years supporting requirements documentation or IT solution implementation.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile principles and experience supporting Agile ceremonies.
  • Experience using Jira for tracking epics, features, user stories, tasks, and defects.
  • Foundational knowledge of business process analysis, requirements management, and systems integration.
