Senior Application Programmer
Description
Xcelerate Solution is seeking a Senior Application Programmer to serve as Sustainment Lead or Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME). Senior Application Programmer will provide sustainment and development support services to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Location: Remote (DC Metro) some onsite requirement at DLA site in the area.
Security Clearance: Active Secret
The Senior Application Programmer provides expert level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts.
- Translates detailed design into computer software.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refining the computer software to produce the required product.
- Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
- Provides technical directions to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- Experience with Oracle/Java-based system, and cloud environments
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance.
