Xcelerate Solutions is seeking an Agile Coach to support the Defense Logistics Agency. You will lead multidisciplinary Agile teams delivering enhancements, modernization, and sustainment across a mission‑critical DoD ecosystem of 34+ procurement, financial, logistics, and property management applications.

This role is central to enabling high‑velocity, high‑quality delivery within a SAFe Agile, DevSecOps, and AWS GovCloud IL4/5 environment. You will guide teams through Program Increment (PI) Planning, Iteration execution, Release coordination, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with DLA’s enterprise Agile governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate all SAFe Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand‑ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile values, principles, and practices to strengthen maturity, collaboration, and self‑organization.
  • Lead teams through Program Increment (PI) Planning, Iteration Planning, and Release coordination, ensuring accurate evaluation of scope, schedule, and dependencies.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and PMO to maintain well‑groomed, prioritized, and transparent product backlogs.
  • Coordinate with external teams to support DevOps activities including configuration management, deployment, and independent testing.
  • Motivate teams to deliver high‑quality working code and ensure collective ownership of analysis, development, testing, and documentation.
  • Identify, communicate, and remove impediments, risks, and cross‑team dependencies that impact Iteration or Release objectives.
  • Ensure clear and consistent Definition of Done at the story, sprint, and release levels.
  • Facilitate productive discussions, decision‑making, and conflict resolution while shielding teams from external disruptions.
  • Promote transparency through effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build a trusting, psychologically safe environment where issues can be raised early and addressed constructively.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data‑driven retrospectives, Agile metrics, and process optimization.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • SAFe certifications (SPC, RTE, etc…)
  • Experience managing multiple development projects from inception through production
  • Experience leading Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, XP, and SAFe methodologies
  • Experience managing cross‑functional, self‑organized teams in a matrixed environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles including iterative development, continuous integration, TDD, unit testing, refactoring, pair programming, and Scrum ceremonies
  • Experience gathering requirements, modeling use cases, writing user stories, and documenting business processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences
