The SRE team is responsible for core infrastructure to support development of and deployment to new and existing services. You will be part of a change in focus towards more automation and self-service to enable developers to focus more on development/deployment and less on infrastructure. Our company is entirely in the cloud, in multiple regions for our core services, running strictly on Linux.

 You will:

  • Build/maintain tools to support infrastructure automation
  • Build/maintain tools to enable self-service by developers
  • Support developers and assist in maintenance of infrastructure/legacy stack
  • Seek out ways to improve existing infrastructure and processes
  • Encourage knowledge sharing on new and existing projects
  • Travel to Mountain View, CA once per quarter to sync with the team

 You are:

  • Flexible – able to adjust to changing business needs/requirements
  • Organized – able to manage workload/tickets in your queue
  • Creative – able to find novel solutions to problems while minimizing tech debt
  • Communicative – participate in team discussion and knowledge sharing

You have:

  • At least 3-5 years industry experience in Linux system administration/DevOps
  • Experience creating/supporting infrastructure and/or automation in 24/7 production environment
  • At least 3 months experience working remotely
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar
  • Minimum of 1-year experience running multi-region and/or complex stacks in AWS at scale in multiple environments (e.g. production and staging)
  • Excellent communication/documentation skills
  • Operational experience with Kubernetes/Docker a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
