X-energy is seeking a Benefits & Compensation Manager that is responsible for oversight of the development, implementation, and revision of the organization's compensation and benefits programs and policies. This position is responsible for ensuring the programs are effective, compliant, and attractive to a diverse workforce. The ability to function in a matrixed role for the effective administration, communication, and compliance of all compensation and benefits programs while managing the organization’s total rewards strategy, is a key component of this
role. A key element of the role is to review and keep current salary bands and enhancements, review and manage benefits offered to the employees, and partner with providers to ensure the best availability of benefits for the employees.
Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for X-energy’s compensation and benefits programs and policies, including salary
    administration and job classification systems.
  • Manage the salary process to ensure the organization is competitively positioned in the marketplace.
  • Monitor employee eligibility to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage employee benefits such as retirement plans, medical, dental, and vision plans, disability and life insurance.
  • Responsible for internal communications related to benefits, promotions, market adjustments, and merit increases and bonuses.
  • Analyze and evaluate benefit programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide benefits and compensation-related guidance and advice to human resources staff and
    management.
  • Review and analyze currently assigned position classifications to ensure compliance with Federal FLSA statutes. Adjust position classifications to comply with legal mandates.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital’s senior leadership in the design and management of incentive plans and bonus programs.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital’s senior leadership in the monitoring and management of the
    organization's total rewards programs.
  • Partner with Workforce Planning leadership and Human Capital’s senior leadership on the development and implementation of salary bands for various roles and departments.
  • Assist employees and managers with understanding salary bands, bonus structure and total compensation to include the value of benefits.
  • Partner with benefits providers to provide best-in-class benefits, ensuring the workforce understands the benefits plans and enrollment processes.
  • Provide education and training on various types of benefits to managers and other staff members.
  • Execute administrative duties associated with position tasks, functions, and associated responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Typically, ten plus years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Five plus years of experience in compensation and/or benefits management.
  • Experience mentoring and managing staff.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience utilizing a Human Resource Information System; Workday is preferred.
  • Benefits, Compensation, or HR certification is preferred
  • Experience designing, launching, and administering new benefits, bonus plans, and compensation structures is desired.
