As the Administrative Assistant, People Team at Woodruff Sawyer, you’ll handle all things administrative for the Chief People Officer and provide project management assistance for the broader People (HR) function. You’ll report directly to the Chief People Officer and offer more generalized support to our Director of Learning & Development, Director of People, Director of Total Rewards, and Director of Talent Acquisition.

This role requires a high level of initiative, the ability to juggle competing priorities, strong attention-to-detail, and professional communication skills. In this position you’ll be privy to sensitive data and conversations, so confidentiality is critical.

What You’ll Do

  • General calendar and schedule management for the Chief People Officer. Complex scheduling for large projects and events
  • Monitor departmental email, mail, and other inbound communication. Respond or assign to appropriate team members
  • Build and edit PowerPoint presentations for Board Meetings, Town Halls, and other meetings as needed
  • Create and manage departmental reports using various systems and tools, including Excel
  • Support with regular People projects and tasks (i.e., Employee Surveys, Talent Reviews, Performance Review Cycles, etc.)
  • Own and/or participate in onboarding and offboarding activities and other core HR processes
  • Support with learning events and programs. Coordinate logistics, set up the event, and provide facilitation support if needed
  • Create and maintain electronic filing systems
  • Process departmental invoices in Concur

Experience & Qualifications

Must haves…

  • 2+ years administrative support and/or project management experience
  • A curiosity and interest in people operations/human resources
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice to haves…

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Zoom, Slack, Paylocity, Cornerstone, and/or Greenhouse

Once we fully return to office (many of us are still primarily remote due to COVID-19) this role will ideally have a home base in our San Francisco office, working as a “hybrid” employee, meaning you come in occasionally when meeting or event support is required, or when you prefer to work in the office versus home.
