Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk plays a meaningful role ensuring timely and accurate payments of premiums to external vendors. You'll ensure premiums are paid on time, account for/clear premiums returned by vendors, and alert our operational billing partners when vendor statements do not align with internally approved documents.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Monitor company payment terms and process premium payables and invoices to clients.
  • Process daily payments including FedWire, ACH, and check payments.
  • Work with internal teams to resolve overdue premiums payments and cancellation notices.
  • Monitor commission differences and provide insight to appropriate business partner.
  • Use Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) to manage the data.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change.
