WRI India has the capacity to convene key stakeholders, and forge strategic partnerships with governments, business, foundations, civil society organizations, institutes and NGOs, to scale-up solutions that can bring game-changing results for the sustainable management of natural resources in India.
Position Overview:
WRI India is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual, interested in climate and innovation. The ‘Senior Associate’ will work with the Innovation team in India. With your knowledge, they will assist the team in their ongoing engagement with entrepreneurs, governments and investors. The senior associate will support work in the domain of climate action, and produce data analytics that will be used to inform and develop strategic engagements with multiple innovation ecosystem partners. You will support the vision of WRI India to catalyse innovation for climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience - taking up research on the potential and applicability of modern ideas; help develop multi-partner platforms and tools for entrepreneurs to engage with government agencies and regulators, demystify climate tech/urban services businesses to investors; and scale enterprises by helping run challenges and accelerator programmes.
About the Role:
· Undertake research to understand the climate tech/gov tech/urban infrastructure and basic services ecosystem and new business models in Indian cities and other active centers
· Analysing industry trends and business models, working with data (esp. open data)
· Help team in running accelerators and developing a long-term institutional structure to support innovation
· Participate in communication and outreach activities- scouting and working with companies, experts, investors and other relevant partners, through strong interpersonal skills
· Strong analytical writing skills to support the team in ongoing projects, research, content generation, reports, proposals.
· Ability to simplify complex ideas, including creating visualizations for easy interpretation of the data for different audiences
Qualifications & Requirements we seek
· Master’s Degree in technology, business, finance, or climate; background in public policy preferred
· 4-7 years of professional work experience in one of the following areas:
· Analysing industry trends and emerging business models
· Experience in impact investing domain
· Experience in technology consulting/strategy with an ability to work with data
· Interest in urbanization/climate tech-led business opportunities
· Ability to carry research independently as well as, part of the team
· Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
· Ability to think creatively to help drive the strategy forward, comfortable with a systems thinking approach
· Ability to take initiative, prioritize and execute in the face of competing demands and uncertainties
· Proficiency in MS Office, statistics; ability to handle administrative tasks
Salary and Benefits: 11,00,000- 13,00,000 CTC PA
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.

Location: Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai
