Job Responsibilities

  • Analysis and execution of various strategic transactions, including M&A scenarios

  • Execution of equity and debt capital markets transactions ($1 bn+ annually), including communicating with investment banks / underwriters, investor outreach, documentation and due diligence

  • Support preparation of presentations for CEO, CFO and Board of Directors regarding strategic planning, capital markets and investor relations

  • Assist in monitoring trends in the global REIT markets, bond and equity markets to formulate balance sheet strategy

  • Balance sheet management / planning – analysis of capitalization and leverage, planning for capital markets needs and optimizing capital structure

  • Support Investor Relations team including communication with institutional investors, quarterly disclosure, earnings calls, conferences and roadshows

  • Assist in rating agency communication and presentations

  • Support FX strategy and analysis

  • Conduct special projects researching companies, transactions, asset classes and market events to inform senior management decision making

  • Interface with asset managers, investment officers, accounting team, legal, investment bankers, consultants, etc.


  • 1-6 years of experience in investment banking, investments, equity research, commercial real estate finance or corporate strategy / strategic planning

  • Public capital markets / REIT experience preferred

  • Corporate modeling and real estate asset modeling

  • Superior proficiency in Excel

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interact in a small team and directly with senior management (CEO, President, CFO, etc.) as well as within the company and externally

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptability – to changing priorities, deadlines and situations

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

  • Attention to detail
