FTL Billing Administrator




The primary focus of this position is to facilitate the Truckload Collector by answering customer related questions regarding billing discrepancies, disputes, and provide documentation the customer needs to make payment. The Full Truckload Billing Administrator will need to be able communicate directly with the customer to identify their needs, and report back to the Operations Team who will assist with resolving. 




  • Field incoming phone calls and emails from customers and internal team members
  • Research and resolve billing related inquiries and discrepancies
  • Submit credit requests for customers and sales staff
  • Provide invoice copies, statements, and payment details to customers
  • Update customer contact & billing information
  • Process one-time payments 
  • Obtain an understanding of Transportation Management Systems to upload supplemental invoices, resolve rejected invoices, obtain payment remittance, etc.
  • Strategically work with Account Executives, Account Managers, Logistic Coordinators and Driver Services to provide customer with necessary documentation
  • Place first invoice calls to Truckload customers
  • Document and maintain record of information obtained from the customer, as well as the Sales and Operations Teams
  • Identify payment allocation errors and communicate with our Billing Team to reallocate funds per customers intention
  • Identify opportunities for outsourcing billing projects; coordinate with Director of Freight Billing to establish projects
  • Act as point person for any exceptions resulting from outsourced processing of customer billing; work with operations teams to resolve exceptions
  • Process customer invoices per 3rd party TMS requirements, for any customers whose volume doesn’t qualify for outsourced billing (hZNEL6)





  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 1+ years freight and truckload experience
  • 1+ years billing and operations
