Essential Responsibilities:

 

Employee Relations

  • Assist employees with HR related questions as the first point of contact for issues, questions, and concerns;
  • Advises managers on all performance improvement plans and corrective action; approves any written documentation in advance of providing to employee; approves all non-exempt terminations;
  • Reviews key HR metrics on a regular basis to include turnover, exit interview data, etc.
  • Developments and implements recognition programs as needed;
  • Follows up on any outliers (positive and constructive) obtained from exit interview data;
  • Oversees execution of employee engagement survey; analyzes feedback, identifies trends, and summarizes results for Management team.

 

 

Compliance

  • Responsible for compliance of personnel files and Form I-9’s;
  • Oversees Driving program to include securing and tracking of driver licenses, MVR’s, and insurance requirements; communicates with employees on a regular basis regarding upcoming expirations;
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of EEO-1 report on an annual basis;
  • Assists VPHR with policy development including updating and maintaining employee handbook, HR policies and procedures, and HR forms as needed.

 

Training

  • Develop and implement HR related training to Managers at time of hire/promotion and as an annual refresher;
  • Facilitate and ensure compliance training for employees and supervisors; Conduct any other required training for employees and/or supervisors;
  • Oversee development and implementation of standardized company orientation program; obtains feedback from new hires and upgrades accordingly.

 

Workforce Planning

  • Supports VPHR on annual benefit planning, plan design, open enrollment communication and timing; provides recommendations on wellness initiatives;
  • Advises managers on job titles, job description, and compensation plans for newly created positions;

 

  • Keeps abreast of best in class employer trends for training, performance management, recruiting, benefits, and compensation and provides recommendations to VPHR;
  • Assists with the development and execution of the performance management program to include conducting reviews, merit increase process, to ensure fairness and company-wide fairness and consistency;
  • Support VPHR on planning and preparation for M & A’s, as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • BA/BS degree in business, HR, or related field;
  • 6-8 years of experience in an HR leadership role as a generalist or with an employee relations focus;
  • Payroll experience preferred;
  • Previous experience in a high-growth company is beneficial;
  • Multi-site, multi-state experience preferred;
  • PHR certification preferred;
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of human resources;
  • Ability to analyze, formulate, and provide recommendations;
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Exhibits high level of confidentiality and professionalism;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications;
  • Familiarity with the utilization of a HRIS and payroll systems.
