Inside Sales Manager - FTL


The Inside Sales Manager will lead a team of FTL Inside Account Executives, within their assigned district, and take individual responsibility for identifying and qualifying FTL opportunities inside or outside the existing book of business over the phone.  This position provides FTL customers a best in class quality of service while increasing efficiency through ongoing meetings and interactions via phone. 


  • Lead a team of FTL Inside Account Executives within the assigned district.
  • Maintain responsibility for a limited number of key/strategic FTL accounts and maintains relationships with clients at the senior management or executive level.
  • Field questions and resolve FTL customer issues/complaints.
  • Provide solutions to maintain customer loyalty, margin management and maintain customers’ daily volume.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to existing FTL accounts.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Address customer service related issues to ensure top customer care.
  • Coach and mentor FTL Inside Account Executives to achieve their sales targets.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (REQUIRED)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • At least 1 year of Inside Sales Management experience
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to solve problems autonomously
  • Excellent at managing multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills at multiple levels
  • Goal-oriented individual with a desire to succeed and a proven ability to take the initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
