IT Business Operations Analyst

 

PURPOSE

The IT Business Operations Analyst will support and drive the Technology team’s internal operations, including the end to end RFP/competitive bidding process, budget tracking and cost management, vendor management, and contract management. In close collaboration with technology leaders and business teams, will support enterprise-wide technology purchasing policies leveraging the full Worldwide Express scale and purchasing power while ensuring business needs are fully met.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES:

  • Write and manage RFP’s on behalf of the technology team; drive vendors through the RFP  
  • process  
  • Ensure appropriate requirements/service descriptions/service levels are defined for technology vendors and included in contracts  
  • Work with Legal to ensure new contracts have the appropriate terms and conditions and are  
  • approved by the Legal team and included in the contract repository  
  • Understand key contractual terms for technology vendors and ensure adherence  
  • Manage and track procurement activities and review invoices to ensure appropriate payments  
  • are made  
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology partners  
  • Develop the annual budget in collaboration with Finance  
  • Track technology expenses and ensure adherence to budgets at a team level, including close  
  • collaboration with program leaders to ensure large programs stay within budgeted spend for  
  • both CAPEX and OPEX  
  • Collaborate closely with key technology vendors and manage on an ongoing basis  
  • Administer contract management process  
  • Interfaces with HR to track and manage IT headcount plans  
  • Ability to manage multiple small projects, build timelines and report executive status updates

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 years of IT Business Operations experience
  • Experience in the logistics/transportation industry or adjacent industries applicable to Worldwide Express
  • Extensive experience in business operations, budgeting processes, vendor relationships, and employee processes  

 
KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Understanding of the industry, specific WWEX business model, and unique characteristics of the company
  • Good understanding of technology business operations, technology vendors and budgeting process 
  • Building collaborative relationships across teams, leaders and vendors  
  • Relevant experience with MS Office Suite  
  • Knowledge of Procurement and RFP process for large contracts
