Whereoware is hiring a Sr. Digital Strategist. As a client advocate, the Sr. Digital Strategist will play a vital role in our client’s digital success. The digital strategist will work closely with subject matter experts to identify integrated digital marketing strategies to create a holistic customer experience across all digital channels.

The Sr. Digital Strategist will create a clear roadmap for clients that orchestrates all relevant digital channels and tactics (i.e., websites, content marketing, search, social, e-commerce, marketing automation, apps, media/blogger outreach, etc.), with a heavy focus on marketing automation/email into one actionable plan to drive business value and customer engagement.

Day-in-the-life

Whereoware is an agile digital agency with clients across industries and verticals. The daily projects for the Sr. Digital Strategist will vary, but may look like:

  • Champion of Whereoware services, products, and platforms.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader for our clients with a strong understanding of their business needs and goals.
  • Run workshops with clients to identify target customers, goals, and KPIs and audit current client digital efforts (email, PPC, SEO, social, UX, etc.) and develop strategic omnichannel marketing roadmaps.
  • Develop marketing automation programs, including mapping out the program (segmentation, trigger, cadence, frequency, content, etc.), identifying data requirements, and workflow back to CRMs.
  • Analyze customer and user data to create segmentations and personalization – with a heavy focus on email campaign ideas
  • Develop testing strategies for website, paid media, and automated marketing campaigns (e.g., subject lines, CTAs, and content) for optimized results
  • Use analytics to evaluate digital marketing results against benchmarks and target goals, draw insights, and provide actionable recommendations and testing opportunities for continuous performance optimization.
  • Engage with clients, sales team, and management to help secure new business, retain and grow the existing business, and turn our clients into raving fans!

The Sr. Digital Strategist will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic marketing role, agency experience preferred
  • B.S. or B.A. in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Mastery of marketing principles such as target segmentation, value proposition, and positioning
  • Advanced understanding of Marketing Automation platforms. Bonus points for experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Acoustic.
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing
  • Proficient understanding of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Google Search Console
  • Proficient understanding of website design, HTML, search and social advertising, SEO, programmatic advertising, and e-commerce
  • A sense of urgency and curiosity with a desire to serve and learn
  • Highly communicative team player
  • Fluent English and strong written and verbal communication skills
