Vice President of Technology

Description

We are seeking a Vice President of Technology to strategically lead and expand our technology practice. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving both the evolution and success of Whereoware’s technological offerings and growth initiatives. The Vice President of Technology will align our technical capabilities with overarching business goals, providing visionary leadership and ensuring optimal performance and innovation across all technology services.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Define strategic vision and objectives for the technology division aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead high-performing technology teams across client projects.
  • Guide innovative technology roadmaps and solutions for clients.
  • Translate client outcomes into impactful technology strategies.
  • Ensure quality delivery of technology solutions on time, on budget, and aligned with client needs.
  • Track and ensure timely achievement of project milestones and goals.
  • Serve as technical advisor, optimizing clients' use of technology.
  • Enhance industry visibility through thought leadership and events.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top technology talent.
  • Champion internal training in technology best practices and innovation.
  • Collaborate with executive and account management teams on technology deployment.
  • Establish performance metrics for deliverability, performance, and cost management.
  • Set architectural direction, solutioning, and enforce development and QA standards.
  • Regularly update the Executive Committee on the technology team performance.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
  • 10-15 years of experience in one of Whereoware's technical verticals, focused specifically on Digital Experience, Content Management, and/or Data, leveraging tools like Optimizely, Salesforce and/or Acquia Drupal. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership in a similar capacity running agency or professional services teams.
  • Proven ability to stay current with new technologies and architectures.
  • Experience/Knowledge in implementing continuous integration and delivery models/build automation and testing tools.
  • Ability to create business requirements, documentation, and project management processes.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and create detailed system design and technical specifications.
  • Outsourcing and vendor management experience, including offshore contractor teams.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and quickly acquire proficiency with new skills.
  • Experience working with customers to solve problems whether on existing projects or new sales initiatives.
