We’re looking to hire two observant Lifeguards to join our team in the Lexington and Georgetown, Kentucky areas. The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of persons utilizing our aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Job Type: This is a seasonal position beginning May 1st through Labor Day.
Work Schedule: Full-time or part-time hours between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday-Sunday. Weekend availability required.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour, plus a $500 stay bonus (awarded to those who stay from the beginning to the end of the pool season).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completion of lifeguard training.
- CPR and Lifeguard Certifications required (reimbursement may apply).
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains constant monitoring of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of persons in an emergency.
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
