We are looking for a Dynatrace Engineer with ability to ensure successful adoption of Dynatrace technologies throughout the software application lifecycle to provide real-time analytics which help our customers proactively avoid performance issues and to rapidly diagnose and resolve problems should they occur. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Dynatrace deployment, ensuring high quality delivery with the aim of helping customers to maximize the value out of their Dynatrace deployment, enabling them to deliver high performing applications with first rate customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor in Application Performance Management as well as Infrastructure Management using the Dynatrace platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the Dynatrace platform and its technology, combining product expertise with your skills and experience.
- Consult with customers to understand, and then meet, their business and technical goals
- Identify key “Business Modeling” integration and automation opportunities, especially around reporting, alerting, dashboards, SLAs, etc.
- Create and manage management zones and network groups
- Deploy, troubleshoot and implement extensions of the OneAgent and Active Gates
- Onboard applications into Dynatrace
- Assist with GRAIL rollout and log management migration to Dynatrace.
- Analyze performance data and assist with performance troubleshooting / tuning of customer applications, architecture, procedures and practices
- Work closely with customer application teams to onboard to Dynatrace
- Ensure effective monitoring of critical business applications at customer sites
- Deploy, administer, configure and maintain Dynatrace technology
- Build and enhance dashboards, reports and alerts to meet customer requirements
- Help customers troubleshoot, profile, and predict application performance issues
- Mentor and train customers on Dynatrace technology and best practices
- Participate in project scoping
- Build relationships that support the successful adoption and integration of Dynatrace products throughout the application lifecycle
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Dynatrace engineer
- Dynatrace certification at the Associate level, and hands-on experience sufficient to quickly attain Professional level.
- Grail and log management training and experience.
- Proven experience deploying, managing and supporting Dynatrace environments.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Dynatrace architecture and best practices.
- Experience creating and managing management zones and network groups
- Expertise in deployment and troubleshooting of the OneAgent and Active Gates
- Experience with Extensions for both the OneAgent and ActiveGates
- The ability to engage customers and stakeholders in a collaborative and consultative manner
- 2-4 years of experience delivering technical consulting involving performance data analysis across applications, system and networks.
- Experience with data presentation via charts and dashboards
- Ability to assess customer's situation, business needs, complex problems, and provide expert recommendations in the areas of application, infrastructure and digital experience management that Dynatrace supports.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical consumers from IT administrators to executive level stakeholders
- Self-motivated and self-educating, able to function independently as needed..
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience creating clickpath synthetics in Dynatrace
- Experience creating JMX extensions in Dynatrace
- Experience integrating with ITSM systems, such as ServiceNow
- Experience performing CI/CD integration via Keptn
- Experience with Dynatrace Grail and log management solutions
- Operational experience with any of the following areas: network engineering, Linux/Unix systems administration, Windows/Active Directory administration, network management, storage, virtualization.
- Experience with Virtualization technologies, including VMWare and Citrix
- Cloud and Infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes etc.
- High level understanding of database technologies; Relational (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, etc.) and NoSQL/non-relational (Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Understanding containers and microservices, and of code- and container-level performance tuning, troubleshooting, and architecture best practices in large multi-tier and service-oriented applications
- Experience in J2EE, .NET, or other Web development technologies.
- Software programming experience across one or more of the following technologies: Java, .NET, Node.js, Python
Travel:
- No Travel Expected, but must have ability to travel up to 25%
