ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing Software QA engineer for a position validating a cloud-based platform that spans across all products.

The successful candidate will join a highly skilled software development team delivering internal and external tools and technologies across a complete DevSecOps platform, pioneering many new industry leading capabilities.

This is a combined testing role where you will be using your experience in automated and manual testing.

The successful candidate must have experience in cloud-native software development and validation and be a highly adaptable team player who can quickly ramp up on new technologies and accomplish goals in a fast-paced agile environment. A combination of strong technical and communication skills is a must.

The successful candidate will work and collaborate with development and customer facing teams to ensure high levels of intuitive usability and product quality.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create test plans and related infrastructure to validate features and updates to the project’s features.
  • Create and maintain test cases for the team, automating the test cases that can be automated
  • Triage issues found using your root cause analysis (review logs, investigate failure to root cause, query databases, generating new test cases to avoid situations from happening again).
  • Review, analyze and supplement requirement specifications, and ensure maximum test coverage.
  • Prove scalability and performance of software products.
  • Formulate, define, and maintain test plans and test cases
  • Work closely with technical leads and development team

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required

  • Experience as a software developer in test or a quality assurance engineer.
  • Proven experience performing white, gray and black box testing
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with project team members and stakeholders.
  • The ability to work autonomously and supporting other test engineers.
  • Proven experience in integration test.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with third party tools and providers: Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Postman, JMeter
  • Knowledge in javascript, typescript, Node.js

 

Preferred

  • BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience
  • Experience on Security and Performance testing
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS/Azure
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Test Automation
  • Experience with Python, PyTest, XRay, Playwright or similar
