ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Wind River Systems is looking for a high-performing Product Trust Engineer to help grow the maturity of our Trusted Product Life Cycle. The successful candidate will join the R&D Security Office and grow with a high-performing team supporting the governance of security, safety, and software quality across all products.

 Interface & Collaboration

The successful candidate will collaborate across the Research and Development organization to support security, safety, and software quality governance projects including policy and process development, audits, and compliance assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the mobilization of internal cross-functional policy and standards assessments
  • Support internal audits in software development and certification teams
  • Support product and process development teams in providing input for compliance, including review of related artifacts for completeness.
  • Support external audit activities
  • Assess processes organization-wide and in development teams
  • Support security, software quality, and safety compliance
  • Model behavior for a Trusted Product Lifecycle aligned with an agile and growth mindset

 Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success

The successful candidate must be able to work cross-functionally to empower success and alignment of compliance outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in a Software Development Lifecycle
  • Demonstrated success participating in compliance projects
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team for shared success
  • Proficient with data analysis, aggregation, and reporting
  • Proficient in organizing compliance deliverables and artifacts
  • Strong communications skills written and verbal
  • Working experience with one or more compliance frameworks (such as ISO 9001, ISO 20243/OTTPs, NIST CSF, IEC 62443, OWASP SAMM, or Similar)
  • Experience in an agile software development organization – preferred
  • Familiarity working with Certification authorities - preferred

 Qualifications

  • BSc degree in an analytical/technical discipline
  • 3+ years demonstrated success in compliance mobilization
  • Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office 365
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate, DO-178 Certificate, Certified Trusted Technology Practitioner (Open CTTP), or similar is a plus.
