ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will have the opportunity to work with Wind River’s Engineering and Product Management teams on a broad range of products, and initiatives that will directly impact our company’s velocity, agility, and market penetration. This role plays a pivotal role in building consensus, structuring the content and schedule, executing releases, and implementing positive change.
Who You Will Work With
- The successful candidate will work with all groups within Wind River and manage products and initiatives from inception to delivery. This includes supporting existing in-flight programs and driving new initiatives.
- This position will report to the Director of the Program Management Office.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and lead release planning and execution activities with multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams with a focus on driving compliance with the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL).
- Drive schedule and content commitments between Engineering and Product Management that include developing new features and enhancements with continuous attention to security.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are well informed of the objective, scope, and timelines of the planned deliverables.
- Identify and resolve impediments, risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
- Maintain engagement with business teams, product owners, security teams, and technical leads to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Create an environment allowing mutual influence, collaboration, and self-organization.
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have demonstrated success working within a matrix organizational structure.
- Demonstrated experience in driving large programs.
Qualifications
- 6 years total engineering experience, at least 3+ years of program management experience, in a cloud native or embedded environment.
- Strong understanding of phase/gate and agile development methodologies and tools
- Must be an initiative-taker and strong collaborator.
It will be great if you also have:
- Software Engineering experience with the full development lifecycle and processes, agile and scrum project management tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence)
- Experience managing complex, multi-product requirements intake and backlog refinement processes.
- Technology development experience in the Cloud and Analytics
- Professional certification(s) in project management such as PMP and PMI-ACP

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $129,000 to $170,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $149,000 to $190,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
