Office III / HR Assistant

The Human Resource Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls at our manufacturing site, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining accurate employee records. The HR Assistant facilitates the onboarding process for new hires, assists with benefits administration, and coordinates employee programs and company events. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with HR practices and regulations, supports employee relations, and manages various company incentive programs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple HR-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcomes visitors at the manufacturing site and manages incoming calls, directing them as necessary.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, file management, schedules and organizes meetings, including coordinating meeting rooms and ordering meals and document preparation.
  • Employee Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires by preparing onboarding materials, setting up orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance and corrective action records, ensuring compliance with document retention policies, inputs new hires into the Litmos Learning system and maintains training records, mail and other HR documentation.
  • Employee Relations: Respond to employee inquiries, directing them to appropriate HR resources and providing information as needed.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Company Incentives: Manages the company’s gift card program and processes spot awards, bonuses, safety shoes, reimbursements for safety equipment, health clubs and other payroll-related payments.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and other HR-related activities.
  • Compliance: Help ensure the company’s HR practices comply with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned, such as coordinating meetings, managing office supplies, assisting in processing unemployment claims and processing mail.

MINIMIM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

At least two years’ related experience required.

· SHRM-CP credential preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
