Associate Product & Sales Manager HPL

Wilsonart Sales department currently has an opening for an Associate Product & Sales Manager HPL. 

The position will work with the HPL Product and Marketing teams on new product introductions, market planning, product life cycle management, and sales programming functions.  Through thoroughly understanding the marketplace, this position will assist in the development and implementation of specific product management plans (annual and long term) to maximize returns for this portfolio.  Additionally, the position will support Sales, Specifications, and Distributors to support the specification and sales of the Wilsonart Performance and Specialty Laminate products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with HPL Product and Marketing to manage new product introductions, market planning, product life cycle management for the Performance & Specialty Laminates categories.
  • Work with the Sales, Specifications and the A&D community to support the specification and sale of Wilsonart Performance & Specialty Laminates.
  • Work with Independent Distributors, Metros, and OEMs to build local stock, promotional programs, and assist with selling major accounts.
  • Promote the HPL product portfolio by developing and delivering customer presentations as well as internal/external product training.
  • Work with Product, Manufacturing, and Sales to manage the non-promoted HPL portfolio, including product exceptions, special customer requests, and end of life.
  • Works with Product, Marketing, and Technical Services to manage HPL product and technical information in print and on the web

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational/project management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Knowledge of marketing methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and delivery product training and technical support
  • Ability to develop collaborative relations across departments and levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead and execute the new product introduction process

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree

Concentration in Business, Marketing, or related field.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree. 

 

EXPERIENCE

 

3+ years

Marketing, Operations, Sales, Technical Services, Product Management, or Project Management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
